The Bar
to pour concrete for the bar. The blue form that you see
is made of rubber and when removed will have the shape
hopefully of natural rock. Sunday Morning we got up early
and I started mixing the concrete, while Doy was working
it into the forms and trying to get it as smooth as possible.
15 bags of concrete is what it took for the bar only, we were
tired at the end of the day. Next Saturday morning, we'll
probably tackle the rest of the countertops and be done
with it. We'll come back and stain these to look like the
floors.

Jesus Saves....
Getting Closer
can tell from the first pic's, the vent-a-hoods are fitted,
the door pulls are on, the Microwave & Oven are installed.
The microwave was a chore !! With the trim kit I ordered
it was a major undertaking putting it together and then
installing in properly so it would vent correctly. The bar
got built in place to inclose the cedar tree. On Saturday,
we tackled hanging the 12' beam over the bar with
another 4' or so (not pictured) that we had to chisle
out the cedar tree for it to slide into. That was another
major undertaking. Can't you just see me standing on
the bar and lifting this beam up in place. This gal was
tired. We finally got it in place and it's ready for the wiring
for the pendant lights and a good coat of stain. Last week
we also cut all the trim for the chair rail & interior doors.
Doy spent all morning yesterday and part of the afternoon
spraying the stain on them while I took them back in to dry
and brought out more. This afternoon we'll start putting
the door trim in and hopefully start the chair rails later in
the week. Thank goodness we're able to work inside, seeing
as how the temperatures this week will be in the 90's.
That's all for now !
In Memory.....
Mr. Mike Angelo was a Funeral Director in town and
has been here for 30+ years. He was known to all
as the man that could make your darkest time the
most memorable time. He was a dear friend to our
family and we will miss him terribly. I was honored
to have seen him for the last time on Thursday in
his home, and it's a time that I'll treasure
forever. Thanks Mr. Mike for all the great
memories we've shared together.
