Memories !

Doy and I had to go to Russellville last week for work,

so we decided to drive by the place he use to live on

Mill Creek Road. I believe he lived here during the

late 60's or early 70's before moving to Rison.

Spring Time !!

Sheridan yesterday ! Took Delaney & Sydney

More Patio

Here is the almost finished patio. We went home yesterday

and washed off the residue on the slab...it turned out

wonderful to us !! It's suppose to be high in temperatures

the next 2 days here, so we'll be able to roll on the sealer

and it'll be ready for the wear and tear !!

The Patio

As you can tell in the photos, we've been a little busy on

the patio!! Usually this would be one of the last things

to worry about doing, but since we're needing to get

the retaining wall done, the patio needed to be done.

We were going to do pavers or cobblestones for the patio

but after seeing the price and the time it would take, we

decided to just pour a slab and be done. So instead of

just having a plain jane concrete slab, Doy decided to score

the concrete and make it look like large pieces of Flagstone

and then stain it a couple of different colors. So Doy spent

most of the day Saturday and Sunday scoring the slab, and

then we stained it yesterday afternoon. These pictures were

taken last night after we had finished. We're going to go back

today and do a little touch up and then we'll steam clean the

residue off and seal it. The really dark stones will lighten up

some, so look for more pictures this week of the final results !

15 Years Today !

15 years ago, today, Doy and I were married !! Can't

believe that it's been so long ago ! We are still VERY

happily married, even through the construction of

(2) houses !! We are definetly BLESSED !!

Weekend Update

Saturday, Doy and I hung these (4) beams from the

tractor boom. It was all we could do to lift them & set

them into place w/o busting out those BIG windows !

The WIND was definitely NOT in our favor.

Got the back patio poured on Wednesday during the low temperatures. Was supposed to be able to score them while they were still wet, but after having to add 1% Calcium to the concrete when we poured, it set up to quick to finish. So we are going to be cutting in a FLAGSTONE pattern by hand to finish off the patio. We will then stay it (3) different colors and I think it will be beautiful. Our BABY, Cole, is always laying around in the way. But.....that's the way we like it !!
