Day 1

Saturday we laid out the house and put up the

batter boards for digging the footers.

This is a picture after we laid out all the rooms with

paint so we can begin digging the footers on Tuesday.

Update

I don't have any new pictures for you to view right now.

We've been working inside the shop, trying to get the

hunting closet / bathroom done in there so we can take

a real shower without running out of Hot Water and

without bumping the shower door open everytime you

turn around while taking a shower in the camper. The

camper is fine and we've adjusted and I've even cooked

every night this week (something other than hot dogs!!)

We were going to start laying out the lines for the new

house last night, but it came a hard rain for a while so we

were postponed on that for a day or two. Keep watching

for new pictures before long !!

Our "High Rise" (ha,ha) Doy had to fix me a nice porch

on the front, since the door was hitting me at my shoulders !!

We're finally out of our Old House. Can't believe that we're actually

gone, but we are. After I shed a few tears, Doy closed the gate for

the last time on Saturday. We're looking forward to keeping in

touch with the new owners, Chad, Rhonda, J.C., and Jolie Higginbotham,

and anxious to see the new riding arena go up and all the horses and

cattle grazing in what was once our pasture.
