Nashville

Gate @ Lorretta Lynn's Home Loretta Lynn's Home The Popular gates in front of the home. You can see Miranda Lambert standing here in the video of the newest release of the Coal Miner's Daughter tribute w/ Sheryl Crow & Loretta This is a creek running through the property that has this beautiful waterfall behind the store in front of Loretta's house.
"Tootsies" is a famous little bar in downtown
Nashville where newcombers go and play that
are trying to get there start. Every once in a while
someone that's already made it big, drops in and
plays a song or two.
"Fontanel" former home of Barbara Mandrell
is now owned by a couple of music producers and
you can tour the home when nothing is going on there.
The Front side of Fontanel w/ the Helicopter
Pad our front. All this glass in the front
is looking over the indoor pool area. At one time it was
the largest Log Home in the U.S.

Doy and I escaped after Christmas and ended
up in Nashville for a few days sightseeing some
place different. As you can see from the pic's we
visited Lorretta Lynn's home in Hurricane Mills, TN
before making the trip into Nashville. It was late in the
day so we missed the tour of the home. Next day we went
to Fontanel to see this massive Log Home of Barbara Mandrell.
Did a little shopping downtown and eating at Margaritaville
at night. Before we left Nashville for the week, we went
to The Hermitage, which is the homeplace of Andrew Jackson.
Beautiful place and lots of history there. Part of the orginal
home burned in the 1800's but was quickly restored. Some
of the wallpaper on the walls today have been preservered
but they are the originals wall coverings. If you ever get to
take a little vacation....go to Nashville. Lots to do there, but
never enough time to do it all. I'm ready to go back soon !
